Leadership Team

MARTIN SCHLATTER
CEO

Martin joined Salt Group with a career that spans over 20 years' experience in the information security industry establishing business and leading teams in the design, development, marketing, sales and management of information security solutions and services globally.

As Chief Executive Officer, Martin will be responsible for driving Salt Group's growth strategy to increase its local and global presence supplying software, and associated professional services and support, for use in the financial services industry and government sectors.

Prior to joining Salt Group Martin has held roles in consulting, operations management, pre-sales, technical architecture and executive management at corporations in ICT services, consulting and financial services sectors in South Africa, United Kingdom and Australia. Martin was most recently with NTT Group as the CIO and CEO APAC at NTT Security and head of the IT Business Optimisation practise at NTT Limited.

Pedram Ghovonlou
CTO

Pedram has over 20 years' experience in the IT industry specialising in authentication and identity which extends across a spectrum of advanced security technology and mobile platforms in the public and private sector having previously worked in SecureNet Limited (now Verizon Business) and IBM Australia.

As Chief Technology Officer, Pedram is accountable for Salt Group's product strategy, roadmap and innovation. He has lead the design, direction and technology roadmap of Salt Group's products from inception to the current product suite that is deployed globally.

Pedram is also actively involved in Salt Group's sales and marketing in Australia, UK and South East Asia.

More recently, Pedram has been driving an innovative mobile centric eKYC and authentication technology with a mission to simplify user identity across online service delivery channels.

Rasika Arachchige
Head of Advanced Solutions Group

Rasika has over 20 years' experience in the IT industry involved in design, development, consulting and integrating various Cyber Security products and solutions. In his role as Head of Advanced Solutions Group, he is responsible for delivering bespoke advanced cryptographic and security solutions to Salt's government and banking sector customers globally. Additionally, he supports Salt Group's product integration and professional services activities interacting with customers on a daily basis.

Prior to joining Salt Group in 2006, Rasika had experience in technological areas such as point of sales payments and smart utility metering systems. Rasika has expert knowledge and experience in Hardware Security Module based Cryptography, Data protection and Key Management systems.

TONY ROBERTSON
PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

Tony has over 25 years’ experience in the design and development of identity and security focused applications and solutions for the government, banking, finance, and telecommunications sectors.

Over his career, which started at Telecom Research labs, and since joining Salt Group in 2006, Tony has demonstrated a depth of experience solving customers' security requirements in a practical and measured manner without impeding users’ productivity, while optimizing the maintainability, integrity, and functionality of the protected systems.

As Principal Engineer at Salt Group, Tony provides leadership within the company, providing Product direction insight and solving the unique and complex technical challenges of the security domain to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Ross Oakley
Non-Executive Director

Ross has more than 30 years' experience in the application of technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the online delivery of business services in the banking, government and telecommunications sectors.

Ross, together with Chris Baharis established Salt Group's mobile security product development strategy and key partner alliances which now see Salt Group products operating in Australia, Asia Pacific and Europe. Ross continues to seek out product and services opportunities that leverage Salt's unique capabilities in mobile systems, security and payments

Previously, after spending 15 years in the banking and finance industry Ross founded Rotek Consulting, a niche technology consulting firm focussing on developing products and solutions to support the secure electronic delivery of sensitive business services, principally for the finance and banking sector. Rotek established a pre-eminent position within the region in the areas of transaction security, smart cards, and PKI solutions, leading to its acquisition in 1998 by SecureNet. Ross continued to work with SecureNet and headed their Consulting and Research and Development Divisions prior to leaving to form Salt Group in 2002.

Richard Parris
CEO

Richard is CEO of Salt Cybersecurity Ltd, the European subsidiary of Salt Group. Richard is passionate about building great companies, developing people and creating value.

Richard has a successful Chairman and CEO, with a track record of leading innovation, business development and fund raising. A proven entrepreneur, Richard founded the Intercede Group, an UK/US cybersecurity software company, in 1992 and IPO'd the business on the London Stock Exchange in 2001.

Richard is a graduate of the University of Manchester, holds an MBA from the University of Warwick, is a Registered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. In his early career he designed nuclear reactors and worked on advanced engineering projects for the Boeing Company.

Alastair Taylor
Head of Advanced Solution Group (EMEA)

Alastair has over 30 years' experience building solutions to secure critical infrastructure, applications and services.

Prior to joining Salt Group, Alastair held key Solution Architect roles in Thales e-Security, specialising in PKI, authentication, cryptography, payments, blockchain, smartcards, tokens and cloud cryptography/BYOK. Alastair is a Hardware Security Module (HSM) specialist (nShield, payShield, Luna).

Alastair is a graduate of Abertay University, holds a BSc (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).

Feitian Technologies specialises in the manufacture of OATH hardware tokens, contact and contactless smart-cards, EMV chips, and payment terminals.

Salt Group is a reseller of Feitian products in Australia, in particular the OATH hardware security tokens.
