Mature PKI support is provided “out of the box” with SafeSign which provides support for a range of trust hierarchies and authentication approaches. Salt Group has successfully validated SafeSign in conjunction with the Australian Tax Office’s CSI (Common Signing Interface) which provides easily implementable PKI support for confidentiality, signing and non repudiation purposes (what you see is what you sign).

The CSI client side support is Java based and operates across a wide range of platforms enabling support across browsers, fat clients and integration into existing client-side applications etc.

The CSI provides seamless interfaces to PKCS#11, CAPI and Identrus™ API’s, including smart card and USB dongle implementations, making it a powerful client side PKI productivity tool.

Salt Group’s standard SafeSign implementation supports the CSI and the Australian Government’s Gatekeeper PKI hierarchy.

SafeSign also supports the Identrus™ global banking PKI standard and underpins the UK Banking sectors BACSTEL direct entry clearing system which is the most advanced operational multi issuer financial PKI scheme in existence.
