Ross has more than 30 years experience in the application of technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the online delivery of business services in the banking, government and telecommunications sectors.
Ross has driven Salt Group's mobile security product development strategy and key partner alliances which now see Salt Group products operating in Australia, Asia Pacific and Europe.
Ross continues an active role within Salt Group's strategic consulting services in the areas of identity management, payment systems, trust services and the adoption of emerging electronic delivery channels.
Previously, after spending 15 years in the banking and finance industry Ross founded Rotek Consulting, a niche technology consulting firm focussing on developing products and solutions to support the secure electronic delivery of sensitive business services, principally for the finance and banking sector. Rotek established a pre-eminent position within the region in the areas of transaction security, smart cards, and PKI solutions, leading to its acquisition in 1998 by SecureNet. Ross continued to work with SecureNet and headed their Consulting and Research and Development Divisions prior to leaving to form Salt Group in 2002.
Chris joined Salt Group with over 25 years experience in the development and implementation of technology based systems. In his role as Technology Director Chris has a broad ambit including responsibility for the development of Salt Group's technology strategy and positioning, which in turn drives our product strategy.
Additionally, Chris maintains a deep day to day involvement in Salt Group's consulting and systems integration activities. Through this ongoing interaction with business users and understanding their challenges and priorities, Salt Group ensures the relevance and appropriateness of its product development outcomes.
Prior to joining Salt Group Chris held senior technology and consulting positions at BHP Research Laboratories and most recently at CyberTrust (formerly BeTrusted) where Chris worked across a range of areas including product development, customer consulting and systems integration, principally supporting the finance and telecommunications sectors. Chris has expert knowledge in identity management and information systems security and their roles within the broad eBusiness area.
He holds a Master of Engineering by Research (Computer Systems Engineering).
Pedram joined Salt Group in 2008.
As Head of Product Development, Pedram drives Salt Group's product strategy, product development and innovation. He has lead the design, direction and technology roadmap of the Salt Mobile product suite from its early prototype phase to the current third-generation product. Today, Pedram works closely with other members of the team to build continuous improvements in Salt Group's products.
Pedram's experience extends across a spectrum of advanced security technology and mobile platforms with deep experience in the implementation of robust high assurance smartcard authentication systems, such as the i.Life Card, a multifunctional smartcard that enhanced the security of sophisticated e-commerce applications and electronic transactions. The first of its kind in the market, the i.Life Card was jointly launched in Hong Kong by HSBC and Cable & Wireless HKT.
Pedram holds a Bachelor of Technology and has 15 years of experience in the application of advanced technology in the public and private sector having previously worked in SecureNet Limited (now Verizon Business) and IBM Australia.
Mark joined Salt Group in 2009 with over 25 years' experience in the IT industry.
As Head of Business Development, Mark is responsible for the expansion of Salt Group's business within Australia and globally, including the establishment and management of partner channels and the promotion of Salt Group products within new business segments.
Over the last 2 years Mark has significantly increased Salt Group's profile in the Health Industry whereby Salt is now the leading provider of smartcard management and associated services within the sector in Australia.
Prior to Salt Group Mark was Technical Director - Asia Pacific at ActivIdentiy, involving the successful deployment of large Smart Card PKI projects within the region.
Mark's career path began with technology roles such as Software Engineer and Chief Technology Officer with British Aerospace & Digital Equipment Corporation and SGI where he worked on the UN (UNCTAD) Global Trade Project, a major E-commerce project.
