Ross Oakley
Founder & CEO

Ross has more than 30 years' experience in the application of technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the online delivery of business services in the banking, government and telecommunications sectors.

Ross, together with Chris Baharis established Salt Group's mobile security product development strategy and key partner alliances which now see Salt Group products operating in Australia, Asia Pacific and Europe. Ross continues to seek out product and services opportunities that leverage Salt's unique capabilities in mobile systems, security and payments

Previously, after spending 15 years in the banking and finance industry Ross founded Rotek Consulting, a niche technology consulting firm focussing on developing products and solutions to support the secure electronic delivery of sensitive business services, principally for the finance and banking sector. Rotek established a pre-eminent position within the region in the areas of transaction security, smart cards, and PKI solutions, leading to its acquisition in 1998 by SecureNet. Ross continued to work with SecureNet and headed their Consulting and Research and Development Divisions prior to leaving to form Salt Group in 2002.

Chris Baharis
Technology Director

Chris joined Salt Group in 2004 with over 25 years' experience in the development and implementation of technology based systems. In his role as Technology Director Chris has a broad ambit including responsibility for the development of Salt Group's technology strategy and positioning, which in turn informs our product strategy.

Additionally, Chris maintains a deep day to day involvement in Salt Group's consulting and systems integration activities. Through this ongoing interaction with business users and understanding their challenges and priorities, Salt Group ensures the relevance and appropriateness of its product development outcomes.

Prior to joining Salt Group Chris held senior technology and consulting positions at BHP Research Laboratories and most recently at CyberTrust (formerly BeTrusted) where Chris worked across a range of areas including product development, customer consulting and systems integration, principally supporting the finance and telecommunications sectors. Chris has expert knowledge in identity management and information systems security and their roles within the broad eBusiness area.

Pedram Ghovonlou

Pedram joined Salt Group in 2008 and has over 20 years' experience in the IT industry specialising in authentication and identity which extends across a spectrum of advanced security technology and mobile platforms in the public and private sector having previously worked in SecureNet Limited (now Verizon Business) and IBM Australia.

As Chief Technology Officer, Pedram is accountable for Salt Group's product strategy, roadmap and innovation. He has lead the design, direction and technology roadmap of Salt Group's products from inception and early prototyping to the current mobile authentication product suite that is deployed throughout the Australian banking sector and South East Asia.

More recently, Pedram has been driving Positronic.Life, an innovative mobile centric e-KYC and Authentication technology with a mission to simplify user identity across online service delivery channels.

Yong Koon Lee
Head of Business, South East Asia

Yong Koon joined Salt Group in 2011 with over 10 years' experience in the IT industry.

As Head of Business in South East Asia, Yong Koon is responsible for the expansion of Salt Group's business in Indonesia and the broader South East Asia region, including the establishment and management of partner channels to promote Salt Group products.

Over the last 3 years Yong Koon has significantly contributed to Salt Group's product development and solution delivery in the finance and government sectors in Australia.

Prior to Salt Group Yong Koon has worked for many multi-national companies in Asia Pacific including Deutsche Bank and British Telecom Frontline.

Feitian Technologies is a Chinese based company specialising in the manufacture of OATH hardware tokens, contact and contactless smart-cards, EMV chips, and payment terminals.

Charismathics is a German based company that specialises in smartcard middleware security products, offering new ways to integrate and personalise PKI and PIV smartcards.
